Volunteer Opportunities

The Wausau Area Chapter of Let’s Go Fishing is looking for enthusiastic volunteers of all ages to help create unforgettable days on the water! If you love fishing, boating, or simply bringing joy to others, this is your chance to make a meaningful difference while having fun.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, including serving as part of a two-person pontoon team that takes seniors out for relaxing and memorable fishing excursions. Each pontoon is always staffed with at least two adult volunteers—one to captain the boat and one to assist our guests—ensuring a safe, supportive, and enjoyable experience for everyone. If you’re 18 or older and able to assist seniors on the pontoon, you’re eligible to join us!

No experience? No problem. We provide both organizational training and on-the-water training—all you need to bring is your willingness to help. We welcome individuals, couples, friends, and family teams (husband and wife, parent and child, siblings, and more) who share a love for the water and a heart for service.
